1. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed onto the track during racing. This includes marshalling duties and access to pitlane.
2. Transmitters must be switched off as soon as possible after your race is over, as other drivers may be waiting to use the same frequency as you. There is no guaranteed frequency clearance between races. If you need to switch your transmitter on at any time, other than during your race, please ask at race control first. We have a frequency scanner for 40Mhz which is in use at all times. The peg board must be used at all times during practice.
3. The Hi-Viz jackets provided, must be worn at all times whilst you are marshalling.
4. DO NOT drive your car the wrong way around the track in order to reach your mechanic at any time. This is a very dangerous thing to do, as it can result in a serious injury to a marshal as well as damage to other cars. Always return to pitlane by completing the lap you are on.
A ONE LAP PENALTY WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY DRIVER WHO DISREGARDS THIS RULE.
5. At the start of each qualifying heat, during the Rolling Start, DO NOT stop and wait for the start signal before crossing the line.
A ONE LAP PENALTY WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY DRIVER WHO DISREGARDS THIS RULE.
6. If during a race your car suffers a cut, you may have your car restarted, but you MUST START FROM THE PIT LANE. Do not rejoin the circuit from any other point.
A ONE LAP PENALTY WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY DRIVER WHO DISREGARDS THIS RULE.
7. At the start of the finals, once the countdown has begun, the pit lane is ‘closed’. This means that if your car cuts, your mechanic MUST NOT cross the main straight until all the cars have left the grid. Once all the cars have started you may cross to the pit lane and re-start the car. You MUST join the track from the pit lane.
A ‘STOP AND GO’ PENALTY WILL BE GIVEN TO ANY DRIVER WHO DISREGARDS THIS RULE.
8. Please do not drive your car around in the pits area. If you need to test your car, ask at race control if it is OK to switch on your transmitter and where you can safely test your car. Remember we are in a public park, if your car goes out of control outside of the fenced area, it could hit somebody, a dog or a car.
Please be careful but do enjoy your racing!!!!
